Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using the https://www.247-courier.com website operated by 24/7 Courier (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
Purchases
If you wish to purchase any product or service made available through the Service (“Purchase”), you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your purchase including, without limitation, your legal name, email address, billing address, pickup address, shipping address, phone number and shipping instructions. Order status emails will be sent to the email address provided by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of all order details provided during checkout and should notify 24/7 Courier of any inaccuracies as soon as possible. The customer is responsible to coordinate that someone is available to receive the item(s) at the delivery destination or instruct us to leave it at the delivery address.
Prices vary depending on distance, time of day, day of week, delivery service level selected and on holidays
For added customer protection we do not save debit card, credit card or PayPal account information on our servers. While you may choose to save payment methods in your account settings page only a reference ID is stored on our server. The actual information is vaulted on the payment processors’ servers. We currently use Braintree Payments (a PayPal owned company) as the payment processor. Payments may be made using major credit cards or with your PayPal account. In person transactions will be processed using either Square.com or PayPal.com mobile credit card readers. These services accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. Customer will be bound by the term and conditions of the chosen payment system described in this section. You may visit the above mentioned vendors for their terms and conditions of service.
We also provide other online payment options including Pay Driver At Pickup, Purchase Orders and customer Account Funds. For Pay Driver at Pickup service we accept either cash (exact change) or standard, U.S.-issued Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover credit and debit cards.
Purchase Order payments are available only for customers with an online account and have a prior order history with 24/7 Courier.
Credit Terms
The invoice date begins the credit term cycle, and payment is due within fifteen days from the invoice date. Failure to keep your account current will result in your account being placed on a “cash or credit card only” status. Your order confirmation email will serve as your invoice.
Contact us to apply for credit. After your application is accepted you will use a blanket purchase order number (and optional date/order codes) to place a service request.
Service
We do not handle hazardous, dangerous or illegal materials. Customers will assume full responsibility and liability for the items they ship with our service. The customer is required to comply with all applicable government rules, regulations, codes and laws, pertaining to their shipment including proper labeling and packaging.
Please notify us of any fragile, large or bulky items that may need special handling. We will try to accommodate such requests and may charge extra for these types of items. We do not sell insurance for the contents of items being shipped. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to insure the contents of all shipments. We assume no liability for these items if damaged in transit. We always reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.
It is the customer’s responsibility to properly package, label and seal all items. We will not be responsible for surface damages that may occur due to lack of protection to the shipment. This includes protecting all items with secondary packaging and padding to avoid damage in transit. Also, always use secondary packaging with absorbent material for any liquids. The customer is responsible for any clean up costs, legal disposal or damages caused by faulty packaging that leaks or spills. Under unusual circumstances including those that may cause harm or damage to persons or property we reserve the right to open and inspect any package/shipment at our sole discretion and without prior notice.
Each item is required to be labeled legibly with the shipping address.
Delivery times may vary due to traffic and weather conditions, time of day, and travel distance for pickup and delivery. We will make every effort to keep our deadlines and notify the customer of such delays. It is the customers’ reasonability to verify the business or venue hours and/or flight status for pickups and deliveries. Additional fees may apply for pickup or delivery attempts that cannot be completed due to business hours or flight delays.
We assume no responsibility for our inability to complete delivery if a recipient’s address is incomplete or incorrect. We will attempt to call the phone numbers provided to complete the delivery but may have to re-deliver or return the items. Additional charges will be incurred under these circumstances. Shipments that are refused will either be returned or disposed of at the shipper’s expense.
Please note we only provide same day shipping and do not warehouse items.
We reserve the right to charge a fee for excessive delays if our driver cannot make a delivery where a signature is required due to the customer not being available or if incorrect/incomplete shipping details are provided. We will call the phone numbers supplied to complete the order and may reschedule the delivery or return the shipment at additional cost.
Perishables
We will deliver perishable items but do not offer refrigeration services. The customer is responsible of proper packaging and must comply with all applicable governmental laws pertaining to such shipments.
Loading and Unloading Items
If the loading and unloading of items will require excessive time (more than 10 minutes) additional charges will apply. Also, if the item(s) are large or bulky the customer is required to provide additional staff to assist our driver with both loading and unloading. Maximum single load per order is required to be less than 1000 lbs and no more than 150 total cubic feet (H-4.15 ft./W-4 ft./L-9 ft.).
Proof of Delivery (POD)
We will require the name of the recipient and a signature for all deliveries unless the customer requests otherwise. The request to delivery without a signature can be made online when placing an order or by sending an email prior to delivery.
Also, the customer may use the same methods to add special instructions for the delivery including verifying the recipients ID before releasing the package or to request a phone call upon delivery.
Customers will be emailed when the service order/delivery is complete.
Undeliverable Items
Items are considered undeliverable if they cannot be delivered for any of the following reasons:
The customer cancels delivery when the driver arrives for pickup.
The items are not ready for pickup when the driver arrives after the customer scheduled pickup time.
The items are improperly packaged and the customer fails to correct the issues.
The customer is unavailable during scheduled pickup time or the business is closed.
The recipient refuses delivery, is unavailable to receive the items or the business is closed.
Incorrect or incomplete shipping information was entered by the customer. We will attempt to call the contact phone numbers entered in the service request as a courtesy to complete the delivery. We assume no liability for shipment delays or failure to contact either the sender or receiver in such instances.
Once an item becomes undeliverable the customer will have to either request to have the item re-delivered or returned as a new service order. If the customer does not make arrangements within 48 hours to complete the delivery 24/7 Courier may dispose of the items at our sole discretion with or without further notice.
